A William Acker (b. 1831) Came as a child to Wisconsin from New York 1845. parents were Abram (b. 1809) and Sally Howe. I believe he had a brother named Henry. He also had brothers Levi,Willard, and Ellis.
Two sisters, Emily and Elizabeth died young.
At the age of 17 Abram and his only brother cleared a farm in the forests of Purdy Creek. After 19 years he sold out to his brother and started with his wife and 5 children for Wisconsin.
