I am researching William Ackles family in particular his daughter Ellen. I first found her in 1860 census living with Isaac Reedy and her sister Elizabeth. It mentions they are twins. There is also a young child, Lucy, which I believe is daughter of Ellen. By the 1870 census they are no longer with the Reedy family but Elizabeth and her child, Mahala are still there.

Then I found a marriage record for Ellen Dunham who married a John Wilcox in 1869 in Tipton County, Indiana. I have not been able to find anything else about them, except that Lucinda married Lucien Staley and they are my great grandparents.

William Ackles will says that Sarah is wife of John Dunham and Elizabeth his wife of John Dunham so must be that Ellen also married a Dunham. I am wondering if he died in Civil War.

Any help would be appreciated.
