Thanks for the email, but I cant find your names in my Ackroyd Family Tree. My Thomas William Ackroyd was b c1882 Heckmondwike. Father John Wharton Ackroyd b1858 Heckmondwike, father Thomas Akeroyd b1825 Heckmondwike, father Francis Akeroyd b1790 Heckmondwike. Been having problems getting back past that as he dosnt seem to have been born where he says he was-
It may be that if you have gone back further that the names may match, if they do let me know and I'll give you more information from my tree.

Cleckheaton is close to Heckmondwike so it could be the same family. Most of my ancestors were taylors.
