I,m trying to research the parents of thomas acres (but signed as akers according to the book "the founders of Aust" by Mollie Gillen)born c1757-1824 convicted of highway robbery along with partner John Smith near Torrington Devon. Sentenced to death at Exeter on 14 March 1785 and held Dunkirk hulk after reprieve to 7 years was transported to Aust on the ship Charlotte 11 March 1787 as a convict in the first fleet.

Married Ann Guy and children Mary Ann, Sophia, Thomas, Catherine, Henry.
