Hi Alan, yes I would be pleased to share any info I can with you, the Acres in Ireland have been very frustrating for me!! My ggf was Adam Smith Acres (b. 1859 -- I am desperate for evidence of his birth, I had assumed was Roscrea), son of Robert Acres (b. 1825 in "Ireland") and Jane Ann Smith (m. Roscrea 1858). Prior to that things get murky. I am advised (but not convinced) Robert's father was Wiliam Alexander (m. Harriet Magill) who had children Adam, George Samuel, Arabella, William, Sarah Maud Mary (b. 1810), George William (b. 1821) and Robert. Try my email peterb@arach.net.au
