Some time ago I went through the indexes to the individual volumes of the Gentleman's Magazine 1731-1868, noting references to the surname Adair. The result is very much E & OE, particularly as the indexes, especially those to the early volumes, are incomplete and not always accurate. But the list may be of some use, nonetheless. I have not checked it against the cumulative indexes to the GM that exist.
Certain entries are given in full; others only in short form. Sets of the GM are available in some reference libraries. I don't have a set myself, and can't therefore help with look-ups.
