I also descend from an Aden believed to have immigrated from England- but no one has been able to prove who the primary immigrant to the United States was on this particular line. My line includes: Mary Louisa Aden (my ggrandmother) d/o Samuel Aden(b. 1818- Ky) and Mary Anne Ellison; Samuel s/o James Aden ( b. abt 1793) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Hess; James Aden is s/o John Aden (b. bet 1764-1770)and Anne ?. Thats where it stops. It is believed John Aden was son of Bennett Aden, Sr but has not been proven nor has anyone been able to trace this back to a particular person in England. We have no definite proof of the parentage of John ( along with brother Bennett and sister Hannah). Some say this Bennett Sr is from Scotland, some say he is from England. Also we are not sure if the name may have been changed from a different spelling like "Hayden or Haden". Please email me if you can shed some light to confirm or or not confirm any of this?
