George William Adle 1887 - ?

My grandfather's brother, George William Adle b. 1887 in Maryville, Nodaway, MO, ran away from home sometime after 1900 and was only heard from once. I have found a lot of U.S. Marine muster roll documents but it hits a dead end in 1913 when he is reported as a deserter from the 28th Co 4th Regiment. I have a request pending with the National Archives and am only moderately hopeful that something will emerge of use. Does anyone have information? His father was William Adle and his mother Caroline Alida Adle nee Hamlin.

Earl, I spoke to my sister-in-law and she informed me that someone claimed the photo album about 3 weeks ago. She was unsure of whom it was that claimed it but when her husband gets back into town she will ask him and maybe we can just pass on your info to the person and you can communicate with him/her.

If you are interested, the photo album was found in a mobile home they bought in New Mexico. It was tucked away in the back of a closet. I believe the woman they bought it from passed away.

I was born in Ventura, Ca. and raised in Montalvo, Ca. and Ventura, Ca. Montalvo is a suburb of Ventura. My parents were born in Oklahoma and Kansas. Thanks for the help. I am new at this. Do you know how to do attachments, especially attachments of family photos to your family tree? Anything from California or the Midwest or Pennsylvania could very well be related to me.

Re: Henry Adle m. Sarah (Sally) M. Haskin

My grandfather was also named Henry Adle, He was an orphan as a result of a fire as a child and was sent to St. Mary's Industrial School (orphanage) in baltimore. I know he had many other siblings but they were all split up as a result of the fire . Adle is an unusual name in Baltimore. Thought I would reply in case any of this history ever came up in your search and may have a connection. jk

Found some further information, if it helps anyone to make a connection:
I located Henry Adle, his wife and some children living in Sterling, Cayuga County, New York in the 1830 census. They live close to Sarah's father, Heber Haskin, and his family, in the same town.

Looking for family of Henry Adle, married Sally Haskin (born 12-Jan-1803 in Rupert, Vermont and died 13-Jun-1878 in Troy, New York). They had four daughters, one of them was Charlotte Adle Snyder, my 3rd great grandmother (she died 22-Aug-1876 in Pennsylvania).
I know Henry Adle had a half-brother, Peter. I know nothing of his parents or other siblings.
