Looking for any information linking any of the descendants of John David Adrian and Rachel Fleming to the beginnings of a small town in Texas named Adrian. I am told the family originated in Prussia.
Thank you - please post message or email me directly.
edaaadrian@hotmail.com

To help complete cemetery records, I'm looking for info on Dorothea Elizabeth Adrian. All I know is that she was buried on April 6, 1963 at Wildey Odd Fellows Cemetery in Washington, Missouri. She is buried in a lot with the Poppenhusen family, so probably was related to them somehow. Would like to have an obituary to file with the cemetery records. Any information appreciated.

son of Virgil (Ace) Adrian

Extended family of the son of Virgil. Would be between 45-50 give or take either way. Born ? Mother? Mother and Virgil both worked at Sundstrands in Rockford, Illinois. This young tried to contact his birth father several years ago in Florida. He was not kindly received. We would like an opportunity to make the young man that he has more family and would be kindlier received. If he wishes to know anything about his father Virgil Wayne Adrian, we think he should be able to do so. He does have half brothers and a sister. He also has several aunts, cousins, and uncles. Virgil Wayne died near the beginning of 2001. We feel you have a right to know about your father. Contact me at the address above. \
Your aunt.

Robert J. Adrain, born in Minnesota, lived and died in Montana

Looking for any information on a Robert J. Adrain. I first found mention of him in the Montana Genweb site, where he is listed as being granted homestead land in McCone County, Montana, 320 acres, in August 1913. I then found him and his family on the 1920 and 1930 census for McCone County Montana, School District 7, along with his wife Minnie (Motley) and their four children James, Mildred, Lloyd, and Bulah. Both censuses show him to have been born in Minnesota, with parents being born in Canada. Minnie, his wife, was from Virginia and is a distant cousin of mine. I found a Robert Adrain on the Soc.Security Death Index who died in 1982, apparently at age 100, last address McCone County Montana. I also find a Minnie Adrain, birthdate is correct at 12/25/1886, also died in 1982, but living in Ravalli county Montana. Any information on this family is much appreciated.

Adrian -->Adrian(sen)?

Hi
Probably have heard from me before, as many of you seem to crossover between boards, but my question may be weird or stange but this has been on my mind for a while. My last name Adrian is believed to be of German/Danish Origin from talking to family members. I am somewhat familiar with Danish surnames but not totally. I know that in the nordic countries, Adrian is a common and typical first name, I was wondering,.. is it possible that Adriansen or some variant dropped the suffix and became just Adrian through the generations of changes and immigration? This seems somewhat logical in some senses. Tell me what you think and any information would be helpful.
Thank you

Heather

Peter Adrian 1825-1889 Russia>South Dakota

Peter Adrian was b. 10 June 1825 in the Molotschna Colony in South Russia to Peter Dietrich Adrian and Helena. In 1846 he m. Anna Frey dau of Peter Frey and Ann Sommerfeld. They immigrated to the US aboard the SS Nederland, arriving in Philadelphia in Jul 1875. The family may have lived briefly in Minnesota before settling in Silver Lake in Hutchinson Co., Dakota Territory where Peter and his sons are listed in the 1880 census. Peter and Anna had 11 children born between 1848 and 1871: Anna 1848, Peter 1850, Helena 1852, Heinrich 1854, Jacob 1857, Sarah 1859, John 1860, Elizabeth 1863, Johan 1865, Benjamin 1868 and Isaac 1871. I believe that shortly after Anna Frey Adrian died in Jan of 1880, Peter married my gggrandmother, Susanna Kroeker Kopp/Koop in South Dakota. I would like to hear from descendants of Peter's who may have information on this marriage. I also have quite a bit of information on this Adrian family that I would be happy to share. Please contact me at ccourtier@russreid.com Thanks!
I am looking for passenger list with Irish immmigrants, coming to Ontario,Canada around 1835-36-37. Hugh Adrain Jr. born about 1808 . Hugh Adrain Jr I beleive came before his brothers David Adrain born 1813 Ireland and brother Samuel born 1810 Ireland and their mother Elizabeth Adrain born 1784 Ireland. I think that Elizabeth was married to a Hugh Adrain Sr. born 1785 I'm not sure where in Ireland but may have been Co. Cork.. Info I have of a Rober Adrain born Sept 30, 1775 in Carrickfergus. Ireland maybe be a brother to Hugh Sr.(b. 1785) Info I have of a Robert Adrain born Sept 30, 1775 in Carrickfergus. Ireland and Robert died aug. 10, 1843 in New Brunswick, NJ..Robert participated in Irish Rebellion,,,wounded in battle in 1798...fled to America....maybe Robert is a brother to Hugh Sr.(b. 1785). I have search a large number of ship lists but have not come across any of the above names. Adrain,(Adrian) name doesn't seem to be a common name.. from some of the thing I have heard in the past...my Adrain mayb have been from Antrim..I beleive in Northern Ireland...if that is so,,Adrains (Adrian) maybe have moved from N. Ireland to other parts of Ireland....(ie Cork Co..or Antrim in Cork Co ) or I beleive the Adrains in Scotland were from the same family years ago, and when the problems began they moved to a varity of places and then on to North America

OTTO ADRIAN

Desperately seeking information on Otto Adrian. The only info I have is he married Margaretha Walter in Linn, Or 1890. He was a butcher. Margaretha read a German bible. Their child was Walter "Heinie" Adrian m. Wilma Post. It is almost as if these people didn't exist, I can find no reference to them anywhere. Post a message or email AhealyDS9@aol.com. Thanks

John Adrian, OH to IL

Looking for information on the family and history of John ADRIAN and wife Elizabeth TIPTON. They're spotted in Coshocton Cty., Ohio, on the 1860 census. I haven't yet documented their marriage in Oct. 1852 as other researchers report. In 1870, they appear in Whitley Twp., Moultrie Cty., Illinois, with kids: Matthew, John W., Katie and George W. Also an Elizabeth TIPTON, age 81, and a John D. RITTER, age 40, a farmer. They're gone by the 1880 census. Their son, James Willard (1858-1933) mar. Zara Ellen HOUGHTON and had the following children in Coles Cty., IL: Martha, George Byron, Roy James, Glen Houghton, Frank Lemuel, and Laura...possibly more.

I'd love to learn more and to share what I do know. Thanks.
