Hello Uwe - I hope you are still checking your account. I am looking for information on Ernest Julian Afeman. I have been told he came here from Germany, but I haven't confirmed it yet. He married and raised his family in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, in the very early 1900s, but I have not found him in a census before 1910. I am still looking though. I believe you know about the Afemans in Rapides Parish Louisiana, but I have not established a connection yet between my Afemans and those. Ernest Julian was born 1862-65 according to dates I have seen.
