      <description>My great great grandmother was : ROSA AFONSO, she was married to Antonio Goncalves. One of there children was Ana Goncalves, husband unknown. Ana's daughter was my grandmother: Amelia Goncalves/Fernandes- April 9, 1895-Jan. ?, 1987 burried at , St Michaels Cemetery, Hampton Co. Mass. She had 14 children. Amelia was married to Joao Fernandes my grandfather. ALL my grandparents came from the Cha, Montalegre, Portugal area, parish unknown.</description>

      <description>What part of Madeira did your Afonsos come from. Do you know Simao's parents names? My ancestors seem to be mostly from Santa Cruz and Santo Antonio de Serra and also Porta da Cruz. We have many common surnames that we are researching.</description>

      <description>Simao afonso (b. approx 1889) and his siblings Manuel, Joao and Natalia.&lt;br&gt;Simao m. Maria Herminia De Freitas&lt;br&gt;Manuel m. Gabriela De Freitas (maria's sister)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;simao and maria had children David, Herminia, Aldora and Celeste.&lt;br&gt;David (my grandfather) married maria lourdes rodrigues in Madeira and immigrated to canada around 1957.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Any information would be useful!</description>
