State of Tennessee
Whereas it appears to the Court here that Moses Edge late of said County is dead and hath not made any Will or Testament in writing. Therefore on Motion of George Smith he is admitted to Administer on the Estate of the said Moses Edge, deceased. It is therefore ordered by the court that letters of administration of all and singular the good, chattel rights and credits which were of the Estate of the said Moses Edge, deceased issue to the said George Smith he having given bond and security and been qualified agreeable to Law---------
These are therefore to empower you the said George Smith to enter into and take possession of all and singular the goods chattel rights & credits which were of the Estate of the said Moses Edge deceased and the same rate your property in take. Where so ever the same may be found within this state and a just and true Inventory there of to make and return into our said court with in ninety days from the date here of and all the just Debts of the said deceased to pay so far as his good chattel and credits will extend and the law require you and the balance of said Estate if any pay to those entitled by law to receive the same.
Witness: James Tunstall, Clerk of our said Court at office the second Monday in August 1815 and 40th year of our Independence.
