Hi Shelly, I stumbled onto this, I was astounded! I too have been trying to trace our roots for my grandchildren. My grandparents were the John Luke, Strachur/Loch Awe, and Elizabeth Maxwell who came from Ballymena in Ireland. My father was their eldest son, Duncan, and my mother was Catherine Rose Botting Reid from Gorgie, Edinburgh. Rose Botting was either Nana Reid's cousin or her friend and my mother was given those as her middle names. My mother died in February,1952 and my grandfather in August the same year. My grandmother died in 1963,I believe. I need info on both families, epecially the Reids. I regret not getting this info before every one passed on. My brother is John Agnew Nicol Luke.
