Re: Nancy Ahart of Tenn.

Was looking at the 1850 census for Adam Ahart and Mary his wife, if she is his daughter Nancy would have been the eldest child. I am interested in this family because of my search for info regarding Hannah Ahart born abt 1837. On the census there are two listings for a jacob ahart on 15 and one 14. Could the 14 year old be Hannah and it was a clerical error? Or did Adam and Mary have two sons named Jacob? I'll share what ever I find out in my search you do the same.

My grandfather's name is Charles Ahart. He's from Parkersburg. He married Geneva Clayton in the late 1930's or early 1940's. He passed away in 1987. I'm trying to get information on his side of our family. Apparently his mother was Cherokee but I don't know her name. We never had contact with his side of our family. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

my greatgrand mother was donna isabell ahart born in missouri around 1873, have been trying to find her parents, she marrided a sidney logan ellis, and died in 1906 in kansas. thanks jackie

Correct me but is this the family (Joseph and Mahaley Brackett) that moved to Missouri and had in their household in 1870 one S E Ahart born 1847? I think Mahaley may have gone by Mary sometimes and been the daughter of Jacob and Susannah Ahart. I have had much trouble researching this family and I'd be curious what you know?

I just read your message about MITCHELL AHART
from June 3,2000. I have been looking for infomation on Mitchell for a l-0-n-g time.
He was my late husbands (James Thomas Ahart-1933-1990) g-g-g-g grandfather. But that is as far back as I can get. Have you gotten back past Mitchell? Also, where did he die?
I know Caroline and her family moved to Illinois ( I think-need to check by records) and had a child born there between the last census that Mitchell was on and the next one that shows Anna as a widow, and living with Caroline. I would love to share information with you. You are actually the first person I've spoken to that knew who Mitchell was!!
I have kinda put all this aside for the past couple of years, but now I'm beginning to get that "old excitement" back. I live in Bryant, AR and my phone number is 501-847-3786. I'm usually home in the evenings after 5:00p.m. and on the weekends. I can't wait to hear from you!

I need information on the families of Jessie Ahart born Oct 1862, married to Joseph Bracke(t) born Jan 1858. They are both born Tennessee and are listed on the 1900 census as living in Laclede County, Missouri. LDS has a tentative list of 13 children for this couple. One of their children is a daughter Sabrina (Brina C.) who married James J. Crabtree.

Harvey's sister Virgie is my fiance's paternal grandmother. She married Trace Patrick. As far as we know they had 6 children, one of which was Albert Patrick(my fiance's dad) and 2 of which passed away very young. So (and please correct me if I'm wrong, as this gets confusing) Harvey is Albert's Uncle, which would make Harvey my fiance's(Tim) Great uncle, which would make you and Tim some kind of cousins,( I believe 3rd, Albert would be your 2nd cousin). Just found your post....and it has thrown me for a curve! My 2nd great grandmother is Sarah E. daughter of Frances. I had Frances as an Ahart by birth and Sarah as a Rowden...and I knew she was born before Ezekiel and Frances married...and I took her to be his daughter from a first marriage....and I have looked for years for that first wife of Ezekiel....

However, the death certificate of her son Mack Lee Allmon (my great grandfather) lists his mother as Sarah Lachhart...and I took that as a clerk mistake for Ahart....and thinking that Ahart was incorrect...but from your post it isn't.

I would love to compare notes...
