Looking for any infomation on the Ahnert family of Peru, Indiana.
My grandfather was Max Emil Ahnert a brother: Albert also lived in Peru. sister: Edith I think lived in Canada

Max was born 12 Sept. 1893 died Sept. 1980
married: Sussie Faye (Helm) born 16 June, 1897 died Aug 1980
children: George, Ray, Lawrence, Lewis, Harriet(my mom),
Iva Maxine and Leonard

My grandfather (max) was German and spoke the language sometimes because it totally fascinated me.

My great grandparents also lived in Peru all on East 2nd St.
Has anyone ever run across this family or the Ahnert name.
