Seen a lot of web pages and e-mail traffic indicating William Underwood Ailes (and his father William) were born in the U.S.(PA.) Has anyone out there have actual facts to this? IAW "Portrait and Biographical Record of Auglaize, Logan and Shelby Counties Ohio....William Underwood Ailes, in company with two brothers, emigrated to this country from Wales prior to the Revolutionary War. They operated a tannery on Long Island, where the city of Brooklyn now stands, and after its destruction by the British, [they] moved to New Jersey. There [Moses Hoffman Ailes] was born in 1792..."

Anybody got any factual data contradicting this book? If not, then a lot of people have incorrect data floating out there!
