I am descended from Ailes/Aills. There are many Wesleys in the family including James Wesley Aills, my gggggrandfather whose oldest son was named Thomas. James Wesley Aills is a brickwall for me. Could you PLEASE tell me more about the tombstone. Where was it found? James Wesley Aills was born in Kentucky in 1808. He moved to LA, then MS, then TX. I don't know where in Kentucky he was born and I don't know who his parents were. I hope you hold the key!! The spelling of the surname includes Ailes, Ails and Ailes.
