Hi Barbara Iam presently working on Ainscough lineage and connection to Normandy, France. Ainscough is on my father's side. But I have already linked 2 of the knights to my mother's side - Hayden. William De Cardon and William De Falaise. Normandy was one of the main targets for Viking raids and many stayed and married and integrated into their lineage. Normandy is the protestant part of France. French hugenots are french protestants. Many later came to USA from England due to religious beliefs. Will be glad to keep you posted. Look at wiki.enclop. at William the conqueror.
