I found your posting while looking for the name McVake. My great-great-grandmother was Catherine McVake. She married William Clark. I believe they lived in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. They had three daughters, Annie (3 April 1858) Helen (29 May 1856) and Margaret (11 Nov 1864). Margaret was my great-grandmother, she mnarried Thomas Smith in September 1896 in Lesmahagow.
