Located Reamt Akkerman (my great-great grandfather) in the 1920 Federal Census, Minnesota, Nobles County, Little Rock Township. This is the first "hit" I have had on the Akkerman family. It shows he was born in Illinois. Do not have a clue where to begin to look in Illinois. Any help would be appreciated.
