Rena Gongwer, third child of Joe and Emma (Wertman) Gongwer, was born December 5, 1896 in Harpster, Wynadot Co., Ohio. She married Ray R. Alban on March 7, 1918, location unknown. Ray, the son of Charles E. and Mary E. (Williams) Alban, was born September 6, 1893 in Nevada, Wyandot, Co., Ohio. They had three children. They lived on what was Rena's parent’s farm.

Ray died at the age of 80 on July 5, 1974 in Marion, Marion Co., Ohio. He is buried in Nevada Cemetery, Eden Twp., Wyandot Co., Ohio. Rena died at the age of 103 on March 23, 2000 in a nursing home in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co., Ohio. She is buried, location unknown. No further information.
