Hello,
I came across your message on ancestry.com seeking info. about your Grandparents. Im not really sure if I can help you. My name is Salvatore Liquori, I currently reside in Texas after being born and raised in New York. The Liquori name goes way back and is difficult to trace.I was told by my Grandmother who passed away at 100 last year that the spelling may have been changed. The Q may have been a G. Sometime around 1880 is when my Great Grandfather came through Ellis Island. His name was also Salvatore.

I hope I am typing this right. I am looking for information regarding my family. Originally our name was Albano from Palermo. My great grandfather's name was Antonio Albano. He came to the USA around 1905. I believe he was somewhere between 15-17 years old. This is where the history gets a little clouded. It is believed his father's name was Vincent and owned what could be explained as a large department store in the town. When my great grandfather moved to America he changed his name to Cucciare. That was the family he was living with. Just curious if anyone has any further information on Vincent Albano.

My family has been looking for information on our history for decades and I am hoping there is something out there.

I appreciate any info you may have.

Regards.

Hello,

I just happened to come across this posting by accident and wondered if you know if Anastacio was in any way related to Juan R. or Victoria Cayetano Albano? They are my grandparents and my father, Paterno Cayetano Albano was born on Ilocos Norte. I felt they had to be related somehow, but I don't know much about my father's family in the Philippines. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

PFC Anthony Albano was killed in action on June 17, 1944 in Europe - 11 days after D-Day.

I am volunteering with the 4th Infantry Division Historical Association to determine where these fallen heroes are buried in America. Research has been completed at the European National Cemeteries.

The only other information I have about PFC. Albano is that he was with the 8th Inf Regt in the 4th ID. You can see the work completed to date at http://www.revive-it.com under 'In Memoriam'.

Thanks you for any assistance you can provide.

Joe,
The person you may want to talk to is Barbara Florio. She has a lot of the Pignola Albano's in her family. You can reach her at BFlorio259@aol.com just use "Albano" or "Pignola" in the subject line of your email.
There were several Albano family lines in Pignola.
Tony

Hi Rod,

I'm sorry, I don't have any of those names listed among those I know. But to tell you the truth, I've not been able to explore my father's line all that thoroughly yet. I have the names of his sisters and brothers and parents, but that's it so far.

My father's name was Paterno Cayetano (his mother's maiden name) Albano. His parents were Juan R. Albano and Victoria. I wonder if all the Albanos from Laoag weren't somehow related. I wish I had more information for you, but I don't. However, if you find a link somewhere, I'd love to have that information. Currently, I have an uncle Pacing who still lives in Laoag.

Looking for descendants of John and Lucia. John was born 25 April 1853 and Lucia born 8 Dec. 1861. They were married 5 Jan. 1878 in Moschiano, Italy. John died 24 Oct. 1918 in Poughkeepsie, NY and Lucia died 30 June 1944 in Poughkeepsie, NY. They have a son Joseph born 19 Mar 1887 and died 24 Dec. 1922 in Poughkeepsie. All three are buried at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie. They also had a daughter that wrote a letter to the cemetery requesting the plot papers. Her name is Julia Elias. I believe she died in January 1978 in Poughkeepsie. I also believe that John and Lucia had two other children by the names of Felice and Francesco.

I am a direct descendant of Giovanni's brother Ciro Albano. Since Kelly was adopted by a family member it's possible that there maybe a connection. My grandfather's name was Nicholas Merino. He married Mary O'Malley. They had two children Thomas and Lucia. Lucia is Kelly's adopted mother. When I was very young I can remember some of our relatives lived up stairs from my Aunt Lou, they were Frank & Rose Albano.
