Solomon V. Alberson

Son of Moses Alberson of Perry County TN.
I don't think they were Indians but Swedes. A daughter of Arvel Alberson son of Noah son of John son of Moses son of Solomon or Early, had blue eyes and blond hair. Every family had a Solomon. I don't know if that has any meaning or not. Arvel was Arvel Solomon. If they are Indians I would like to know. Arvel and Arie, his brother, were six foot four inches. Their half sister Alpine was not so tall.
John was married to Elizabeth Debbs in TN.

I am trying to link the Alberson in AR with Arie Alberson. I read the orbit of Jerry Alberson but it listed Mary Anderson as his mother. I read Mary Anderson Orbit but no mention of her first husband but her sons larry and Jerry of HorseBend Ar. I would like to know if anyone knows if these are the sons and wife of Arie Alberson. Mary Anderson died March 2007. Jerry Alberson SR died 2007 and Jerry Jr. died 2010.
I believe this is a son of Arie Alberson and Mary is his exwife. No clues in orbits to whether they were or not. Mary was a miner.
Jerry Jr. wife is named Kristie. I believe I have information from Kristie when she lived in California

Williams 24 Dec. 1891 in Fayette County, TN, just to the north. What happened to Hezekiah? Divorce or death? If you know, I would love to find out.

Hi Rebecca,

Your ALBERSON family has some names that are similar to my husband's ALBERSON family that were in Dale, Coffee and Geneva Co. in AL in the 1800's. His older ancestors were possibly from Cheraws then later Darlington Dist., South Carolina and lived in Laurens Co., Georgia for a while before moving on to Alabama by way of Florida about 1825. There was a Joseph ALBERSON, too, but I don't believe he was my husband's direct line. I'm not sure how he fits in.

Brenda

Her mother is listed in the census as Jane born May 1852 in North Carolina. Zinnamon and Jane were married about 1875.

In 1860 Zinnamon is 7 years old and in the house hold of Arthur ALBERSON born 1885 South Carolina and his wife Mary born 1895 South Carolina. These would be Zinnamon's grandparents. I'm not sure who his parents are.

Brenda

Rebecca,

I'm sorry I confused you; I really goofed on those dates. They should be 1785 and 1795 for Arthur ALBERSON and Mary. These apparently were Zinnamon ALBERSON's grandparents -- much too old to be his parents. In 1860 Coffee Co., AL, Zinnamon was listed as Zinnamon ALBRISON, age 7 born in AL, in the household of Arthur (75, SC) and Mary (65,SC) ALBRISON. I have never found anything to show who his parents are.

Arthur Zinnamon ALBERSON was born in 1821 in GA. His wife's name is Magaret Emily (UNKNOWN) and she was born 1832 in SC. Their children are Virgil (1843), Sarah (1845), Mary (1847), Ann (1850) and Malinda (1852). There is never and Arthur or a Zinnamon listed as their child. Arthur Zinnamon ALBERSON (1821, GA) is the son of Arthur and Mary ALBERSON.

In 1870 Zinnamon (1853) is in Geneva Co., AL and Mary (70, SC)is still living in the same household, but it appears Arthur has died. Zinnamon is listed as Edmond Z. ALBERSON (17, AL).

In 1880 Geneva Co., AL he has his own household. He is listed as Zinnamon ALBRISSON (27, AL) His wife is Jane (31, NC) and his children are Gipsy (3, AL) and Lee (2, AL).

In 1900 Geneva Co., AL. Zinnamon is listed as Edward Z. ALBERSON born April 1853, AL married 25 years. His wife is Jane born May 1852 in NC. Their children are listed as Lee (April 1878, AL), Bama (Mar 1880, AL), Corrie (Jan 1882, AL), Walter (Feb 1885, AL) Dolley (Feb 1885, AL, twin of Walter) and Arthur (Sept 1890, AL).

Apparently Zinnamon's first name is either Edward Zinnamon or Edmond Zinnamon. I've not found him on any census as Zimmermon, but I've not seen the 1910 and 1820 census with him listed yet.

I don't see in any of the census anything to suggest that Joseph ALBERSON (1775 SC) would be Zinnamon's grandfather, but Joseph is likely Arthur ALBERSON's (born 1785, SC) brother, don't you think?

I hope I have't confused you more :)

Brenda

Melissa,

Most of these birthdates are from census records.

Joseph Angus ALBERSON b. Nov 1856 was the son Ira D. and Mary C. ALBERSON. Ira D. ALBERSON was b. 1819 GA and Mary C. was b. 1824 SC. Joseph's first wife's name apparently was Joanne b. May 1880 in AL.
Their children were
Austin ALBERSON	b. 9 December 1880
Bascom S. ALBERSON	b. September 1885
Mitchell Martin ALBERSON	b. 9 August 1888
Mary Lee ALBERSON	b. June 1894

His second wife, Dora b. 1882 GA had previously been married to a DANNELLY. That's all the informationI have on her.

Ira D. ALBERSON was the brother of my husband's gggrandmother, Margaret Emeline ALBERSON b. 1824 AL. Their parents were Arthur and Mary ALBERSON b. 1785 and 1795 SC.

Brenda
Crista
You are or your husband is correct. But Nellie was the second wife of Noah. Noah Married Mary Emmer and she passed away in or around 1918 and he married Nellie who had been married to a Frank Watson. Now Erie is my grandmothers stepbrother I think. And Helen Alpine Alberson-Barnett changed her name also. I happen to agree with her if my name was Alpine I would change to my middle name too. But I did not know that Arie had changed his name. We are related by the same man Noah Solomon Alberson. He was born in Lorance, MO in 1880 . Please contact me by email asap.

My line flows from Josh and Harriet's daughter, Lavina Catherine. Lavina had 5 "husbands".:) Her third was to Charles Richardson. They had two daughters, one, Lucy, was my Grandmother. Her daughter from her second marriage, Hattie, just died Jan. 31st. of this year. She was 102 years old. I have a good bit of info on the Alberson's. You can e-mail me directly if you would like to swap. This line of Alberson's still has a yearly reunion in August in Upland, Indiana.

Arvel Alberson

I posted over a few years information about the Alberson, Arvel. I have traced his family back to TN. Arvel's father was Noah Alberson and Nelly Matthews. Noah's father is John Alberson and mother Sarah Hahn and he was born in Stoddard County Mo in 1880. John was born in 1860 in Tn and believe his father is John W. born Va in 1830. I believe John W. father's is Moses Alberson who somehow ties in with Early and Solomon Alberson. Moses's had another son Solomon V. who remain in Perry County and died there. John W. and his sons moved to Bollinger Ct Mo then to Stoddard CT Mo. John W. moved to Mo with 3 sons but had a large family after moving. The 3 sons were Henderson L., John, and Newton. I think all 3 married Hahn women. Henderson l. moved to Dunklin County at some point. Has 2 sons buried in Marsh-Hazel cemetery in Kennett. Noah is buried there too. It is possible that other members are there also.
