Hi,there! In the course of my research, I have not come across an Alberte from Spain. Our Alberti ancestor, Casimer Barnhardt Alberti, b. 1740, came from Germany and settled in upstate New York (Catskill Mtns). It really doesn't matter if your Alberte is spelled with an "E" because people writing documents spelled it with a "Y", "A" and whatever. I have probably found at least 30 various spellings of the name. Good luck in your research and wish I could have been of help. Cathy Alberti
