Do you still have this birth certificate copy? I'd love to see it, too. Is it digitized? I just found my connection to P.C. Alberti, and this is fascinating. I am descended from his daughter, Francyn Albertus Allen. My line stays Allen for a few generations and then a daughter marries a Townsend. P.C. Alberti was my 10g grandfather.

Elyce Townsend Cucksey

Your entry was dated 2004 so I do not know if you are still monitoring this but I will give it a try. My uncle Vincento (James) Magistro/Magestro and a few of his brothers lived in the 3rd Ward in the 1920s and had a son Antonio born in 1913. There is quiet a bit of information concerning the branch of the family in census reports for 1920 and 1930.

Would you be interested in sharing information?

Are you aware that the Mormon's Family History Library has microfilms of most of Naso's original birth, death, and marriage records from 1820 throught 1910 available for viewing at any of their US branches? They supply the equipment and anyone can have access to each film for a six week period at your local branch for something like $6/film.

One of my own lines comes from Naso and I was able to trace them back to the early 1800s using these films.

TPG

I have a copy of an articile from "Italian-American Reveiw, Octobe 1976 which states "Alberti Plaque Stolen". The first plaque was placed at the site in 1959. I have an original Daily News dated June 3, 1958 with a 2 paragraph articile concerning the 3rd commemoration of the arrival of Peter Caesar Alberti. I also have a 2 page document given out at the cermony. This was 1 year before the original marker was stolen. Also, have a copy from New York Times, Friday, June 3, 1964 about the unvailing of the 2nd plaque.
Hi, Cathy
I live in Chenango County. We are located about midway between Binghamton,NY and Oneonta,NY along Interstate 88. My daughter and I traveled to Prattsville, NY in Green County to visit the Alberti Cemetery there. I don't remember for sure how far it was from Oneonta. I'm guessing maybe 45min to an hour drive. We are planning to return there this summer for another visit for more research @ the historical society, cemeteries, etc. My email is plserrao@yahoo.com. Let us know when you return to NY in August. It would be nice to connect. Thank you again for your reply. Patti
Hi! I can supply you with much info. Are you directly related to Casimer? As a matter of fact, I'm in NY now just a couple of miles away from where Casimer is buried. However, I go back to L.A. tomorrow. I have a good 2500 descendants plus lines that married into. My flight lands in L.A. tomorrow night and I will have to get back to you Wednesday or Thursday. I am willing to share whatever you need and hope you will be willing to share your lines as well. Looking forward to hearing from you, Cathy Alberti

Actually, there are several Alberti cemeteries in and around Prattsville. Are you speaking of the cemeteries on Bull Hill Rd., Huntersfield, Pleasant Valley and there are several more cemeteries. Oneonta is about 38 miles from Prattsville. Yes, let's plan to get together. The former Prattsville Town Clerk, Millie Harkness, is an Alberti cousin. I have covered every line and page of the vital records for the town as well as Ashland. The Alberti family reunion will be Aug 16 in Grand Gorge (Delaware county. Please put that on your calendar and come.

I am researching Thomas Alberti who came to Louisiana through Havana Cuba from Majorca (or Minorca) Spain. I have his original papers with the raised seal and the Cuba and Baleric stamps on them, but I can't get him on a ship to US or from Spain. I also have specific info on him in Thibadaux, LA. I would appeciate any information or hints in finding more of the family coming with and those before him. Thanks bunches.

I'm researching some Alberti's from Austria / Italy. They say they are Austrian but it appears they come from Mezzano, Vezzano Italy. They are Pietro (Pete) and Maria (Mary, Marie)(Bettega) Alberti. They came to Oklahoma and then went to Weirton, WV where they died - Peter in 1941 and Maria in 1954. On his death certificate, it says that Pietro's parents were Frank and Jennie Alberti, but I don't know if they came to America. I can't find anything further about any of them.
