Dorothy L. “Dottie” (Loader) Albin, age 82, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Moses Lake, Wash. She was born August 25, 1925 in Erie, Pa. to Wilfred and Mint Rose (Harley) Loader.
Dottie was raised in Erie, Pa. and in 1959, she moved to California. She was a devoted member of the Baptist church, she loved to make ceramics and play Bingo. She often liked to tell of her travels and the time she lived in the Philippines, which she enjoyed. Dottie is survived by her children, Frederick Uhlman of Antelope, Calif., Steve Uhlman of Moses Lake, Wash., Louis Albin of Citrus Heights, Calif., Michele Albin-Neel of Parker, Colo., one brother Ted Loader and one sister Janet Maracci, both of Erie, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents,
five siblings and her infant daughter Linda Uhlman in 1949. A Memorial Service to celebrate Dottie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2008 in the North Highlands Missionary Baptist Church, 4130 Baptist Court, North Highlands, CA 95660. Friends are invited to share in the food that will be provided following the services in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dottie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
