Linda,
A little info according to my records:
Ollie(b 1870) was the child of Rufus and his 1st wife, Mary Ann Freeze. Mary died Oct 1874/1875.
Rufus Albright Born 12-22-1825 in NC, Died 11-7-1905 in Shelby County, Alabama and is buried beside Mary in the Old Chapel Methodist Cemetery, Wilsonville, Shelby County, Alabama.
Rufus and Mary were the parents of 10 children - 6 sons and 4 daughters. He taught school and was also a minister. His 2nd wife was Isabella C. Hall (see 1880 Census). Third wife - Nancy (can't remember her last name right now).
After the death of Mary, he wrote a letter to a minister named Brother Self praising his departed wife. I have a photocopy of the letter in my files.
Rufus was a son of Michael (born abt 1798 NC) and Mary (last name unknown) Albright. Michael and his family left NC about 1820 and lived in De Kalb County, Georgia. Sometime after 1830, he moved to Coosa County Alabama and lived there the rest of his life (after 1880). Michael's father was John Albright born abt 1761 in Pennsylvania and died in 1819 in NC. John's father, Michael Albrecht Sr. was born about 1719 in Germany settled in Pennsylvania about 1730s. Michael Sr's father was Jacob Albrecht born about 1695 and also settled in Pennsylvania from Germany. - Source Luther E. Albright
Several years ago, one of Rufus' grand daughters (now deceased) who never knew her grand father told me she remembered her mother saying, "Rufus stayed at home and did not visit often." She also added, "Neither did he borrow nor lend his tools."
Hope this helps a little.
Nancy
