Hazel Udora was born an Albro and married George Hayes Himmerite 22 Apr 1922. I can provide you with a list of her ancestors for 10 generations if you are interested, but I did not move forward from her because I don't put living descendants on line. Post a note if you can't find my email address associated with my username above.
I know this is an old post, but I'm hoping you might give me some info please. I see many trees showing Samuel Albro to be the son of Samuel Albro and Sarah Convis, and spouse of Polly Green. Though I have searched, I cannot find anyone citing a source for neither the birth of Samuel to Samuel Albro & Sarah Convis, nor the marriage to Polly Green.
This concerns me because my gggrandfather, Samuel C. Albro, b. 1788 in Mass. seems to me to be a likely candidate for the son of Samuel Albro & Sarah Convis. An old family letter states that his full name was Samuel Converse Albro. I have no proof, just this bare thread of supposition to go on. I just haven't seen any info to cause me to rule out the possibility. Do you know on any?
Thanks.
David Seeger
grandson of Eleanor Albro (b. New Orleans, La.)
ggrandson of John Henry Albro (b. New Orleans, La.)
gggrandson of John Walter Albro (b. Whitesboro, Oneida, NY)
ggggrandson of Samuel Converse Albro (b. Mass 1788)
The David Albro you are referring to buried in Canyonville Or is my Great GF. He married Elizabeth Fetters (not Covington) born in 1839. David and Elizabeth were married and took a wagon train to Oregon, but stopped off in Northern California when their first son Arthur was born. They stayed in N.Cal until 1870 and moved to southern Oregon and lived on a farm on Cow Creek near Canyonville. I have a picture of david and Elizabeth if you're interested. I also have information on the names and birth years for all of Davids children. Arthur the oldest was my genadfather. He moved his family to Seattle sometiem just prior to 1920 and died there.

The Albros (Henry, Harriett, and Alice Albro Vorhes) are buried in Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Kenton Co., KY. Thomas Albro married a Vincent Shinkle daughter and is buried on his lot in Highlands. Thomas was only about 44 when he died, I believe.

Wasn't Edwin Albro Henry's brother? He took over the veneer comapny after Henry's death in the mid-1860's. I traced the business until at least 1910.

I owned the Harriett Albro house in Covington, Ky. for several years. She was, of course, Henry's widow. He died around 1865, or so, and Mrs. Albro built the beautiful home in 1874, or there abouts. I was the 3rd owner of the home.

The Cincinnati Public Library contains many references to Mr. A. and his wood veneer company. His Mahogany Sawmill is featured on Plate 3 the famous 1848 daguerreotype.
Does anyone have ANY info/knowledge of RODMAN W. ALBRO born either 1809; 1810; 1811; or 1812; either in Newport, R.I. or Nantucket, MA? We know he married SUSAN HARPS/HARPER (daughter of JOHN & EUNICE (CHADWICK) HARPER) in 1834 Nantucket, MA. Most probably went to Fairhaven, MA; then to Manhattan, N.Y. where RODMAN is lsted as a "hatter"; then on to Genesee County, MI where they settled and died and are buried.

Other surnames said to be connected to this ALBRO line: LAWTON, BAXTER, SWEET, TABER.and many more.

Need RODMAN's parents and siblings.

ANY info/connections more than welcome........D.N.A. has established that RODMAN W. ALBRO does indeed descend from JOHN 1 of Portsmouth. WHO WERE HIS PARENTS??!! Currently WONDERING if he could be the son of SAMUEL ALBRO.......possibly a Grandson???

ANYTHING appreciated- been a LONG 12 years......

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

E-mail: elhzm@comcast.net
I believe this is the grandson of John Albro/Margaret Sweet via their son Samuel/Lois Browning who went to Nova Scotia about 1760. This William is believed to have married Elizabeth Kingsley. Of course, it could also be William s/o John Albro/Barbara Eldred who was the half-brother of Samuel. I would like to share with you my lengthy summary of the information I have gathered about this William via e-mail: weberle@nycap.rr.com

I have his "intestate" files, and lots of circumstantial evidence about how he relates to me...I am at my mother's right now in West Bloomfield where some of William's descendants (details unknown)raised their children, and will be home with my files tomorrow in Capital District, NY. I am very much looking forward to establishing a dialogue with you and hope that my files will illuminate your records ... and vice versa. Martha Eberle

Martha, Thank you and yes, I am very intersted in these people. The Albro family history by Condor is about this family, but I think is has a lot of bad info, and is confusing. Better to have not seen it maybe. This is the first I have heard of Willam Sr. being in NY. This the son of Major John of NK right? The probate papers did not list the heirs?

Joseph Jermine Albro was my GGrandfather. He married Jane Sieklucki. They has two children Robert J. Albro and Carole Albro. Robert J. Albro married Patrcia Ann Sciscento. They had 4 daughters. I would be interested in any information you have about the Albro family. I was under the impression that the name was changed from Von Albrect upon arrival from Holland. My grandfather's family was very private and didn't give much information before their deaths.

Albro: William, John, Laton, Benoni, Stephen, Benjamin of Saratoga Co., NY

William Albro died Intestate in 1794 in Saratoga township. Filed in Saratoga County Surrogate Court Archives: Drawer 001 # 36 Bond papers and Inventory: “Know all men by these presents that we Elizabeth Albro (identified as widow mde), Benoni Albro, Laton Albro and Jonathan Ketcham are jointly and severally holden and stand firmly bound under the people of the State of New York in the sum of 100 pounds, lawful money of said state: For the payment of which well and truly to make, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. In witness thereof, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this 31st day of October in the year of our Lord, 1794.” The signatures of these four people were at the bottom (Elizabeth’s X) and the witnesses were County officials Sidney Berry and Russell Allerton. John Albro of The Holland Purchase appears to be linked to this William. I have accumulated a ton of information on these Albros, but cannot identify this William and his wife Elizabeth as well as his relationship to these other Albros. Other families in Saratoga at this time were Hammonds, Dunhams (John Albro 1st married a Dunham), Allerton. I have a lengthy write-up of these people in Northumberland and Moreau which I am happy to share which includes deeds, wills, censuses, etc. Martha Eberle

He was born 21 July, 1893. Married Winnie Haskins; lived in Michigan part of the time. Had a son William and a daughter Lillie.

Pat, I have quite a bit of information on the children of John and Sarah Albrough. There are about 5 of us that come from different children of their's that are working on putting all of our information together. We love to share and add more to our group! Please email me at midlandmom@aol.com

Do you have any information on Edward Errington that married Bertha Albrough? Parents, siblings, or anything else. My tree connects with Bertha's brother Edward Albrough.
