These are my great great grandparents. My great grandmother, Alma Josephine Alder, was borned December 1882 in Fulton County, Illinois. Johnthan Alder(b. April 1829 in Ohio d. bef. 1910 in Fulton County, Illinois) married Mary L. (Sexton) Weaver April 30, 1874 in Fulton County, Illinois. Mary L. Sexton was married to Edmond R. Weaver on November 4, 1869 in Fulton County, Illinois. They were divorced in 1874. I believe that Mary L. Sexton that married Edmond R. Weaver in the same Mrs. Mary L. Weaver that married Johnthan Alder. Johnthan Alder had a child living with him from a previous marriage: Wilbus Alder (b. abt 1871 Illinois). Children borned to Johnthan Alder and Mary Letetia Sexton were: Nellie (b. abt. 1874), Charles H. (b. abt 1876), Alma J. (b. Dec 1882), and Katie M. (b. April 1886). Mary Letetia Sexton Weaver Alder (b. May 25, 1846 Fayette County, Ohio d. February 19, 1894 Fulton County, Illinois). I need information on the parents of Johnthan Alder. I believe he is the son of Paul Alder(b. 1814 d. 1869) and Sarah Francis (married May 1, 1828 Madison County, Ohio). Paul Alder, the youngest son of Johnathan Alder and Mary Ann Blont(Blout), would have been 14 or 15 at the time of this marriage and 15 or 16 at the birth of Johnthan Alder. I have seen later marriage dates for Paul Alder and Sarah Francis as December 15, 1835. My grandmother used to tell us that her great grandparents were Indians. I believe that she heard the tales of Johnathan Alder's capivity and his adoption into the tribe as the basis of her story. I am currently trying to find the death date and place of my Johnthan Alder. Last information I have on him is from the 1900 census of Fulton County, Illinois. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share information.
