Nancy B. Nash was born in Meigs County Ohio July 9 1822, was married to E.W. Alderman Sept. 30, 1841, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Rhinehart, about 3 miles northeast, of Fremont,(Mahaska, IA) Jan. 16, 1897, her husband having departed this life Jan. 5, 1893/

To those parents were born twelve children-nine sons and three daughters-of whom ten are living-eight sons and two daughters.

She became a member of the M.E. church at the age of 17 years, and lived a consistent christian till death. Funeral services by Rev. Joseph Lisk, and interment at Abel's cemetery.
