Hi, I'm looking for any info available on my grandfather; Joseph Alderton, the son of William and Sarah Elizabeth(nee Cockbain) Alderton. He was born march 29, 1898 in Chester le Street, County Durham, UK. At some point he immigrated to Perth, Australia (don't know when) and served in the army. He married my grandmother nee Constance Sybill Trickett sometime in the late 1930's or early 40's. I know nothing of a first wife whom he divorced, there were 2 children I believe. My father is the only child from this second marriage, Graham Alderton, born in Perth on 18 march 1952. Joseph Alderton died in the Korean War. Any info whatsoever on Aldertons in the Durham area of England would be greatly appreciated as I know no more than this about that side of the family.
