Jacob-6,5,4,3, Peter-2, George-1 Aldrich of NY/PA, Wife and Children
Pg 132 of the "Youngs Family" by Selah Youngs, 1907, shows that Polly-7, Rufus-6, Daniel-5, Christopher-4,3, Rev John-2, Rev Christopher-1 Youngs was married to a John Aldrich and then displays a family of children, without birth dates: Mary, Jacob, John, Charles, Warren J, Helen, Adney, and Buell. There is no date of birth, marriage, or death given for her, but she is listed in a list of children of Rufus who were born in a range from 1780-1802.

Further analysis shows that the John Aldrich family listed as shown above is that of her SON, John Youngs Aldrich.
What follows is an analysis of the family she had with Jacob Aldrich (not the family shown in the Youngs Genealogy, which is that of her son, John Youngs Aldrich).
The larger question remaining is what documentation is there to support the fact that Mary / Polly Youngs, daughter of Rufus Youngs, was the wife of Jacob Aldrich. This researcher has not found a marriage record and the will of Rufus only mentioned sons, not daughters. So the only evidence available to this researcher at this point is the assertion in the Youngs Genealogy, without corroboration from other documentation. Any assistance by reply to this message is appreciated.

SUMMARY OF HER FAMILY
She was born 1784 (1850 and 1860 census) in Mattituck, Southold, Suffolk, New York, USA. She married JACOB-6,5,4,3, Peter-2, George-1 Aldrich (not John) about 1808 in Mattituck. She and Jacob Aldrich had John Youngs, Deborah, Micah O, Samuel and Adney.
John Youngs Aldrich married Eleanor [Wells?], and had Mary Jane, Jacob W, John Youngs, Charles A, Warren J, and Eleanor "Helen" between 1836-1848. Note this is the list of children given in the Youngs Genealogy (except for a son named Buell), but born when Mary / Polly Youngs would have been aged 52-64. Thus illustrating the Youngs Genealogy skipped a generation when it listed the children of her son as her children.
The rest of the children of Jacob and Mary (Youngs) Aldrich appear to have stayed in Pennsylvania. Adney appears married with children in the 1850 census, then his wife appears in 1860 as a widow. She married, 2nd, Henry Hall. Michael and Samuel appear in the 1850 and 1860 census, single, and are not found (by this researcher) after that.
Her daughter, Deborah, married William H Edwards and they settled in Luzerne County, PA. They lived next door to her brother Adney Aldrich in 1850 census.
