Glovers and Alexandria

BIRCH/BURCH, JOHN (BLW)
Died 28 Jan 1855, Alexandria, VA; md (1) Mary ---,
(2) Sarah Glover, (3) Susan Glover (P),
Alexandria, VA. She died 4 Dec 1899,
LNR Georgetown, DC, 1884
From “War of 1812: Virginia bounty land & pension applicant: a quick reference,
By Patrick G. Wardell
This item, connecting at least one Glover female with Georgetown, seems to indicate that two Glover females married the same Birch/Burch. Some Birch graves are in what is now Arlington VA, and I believe my Glovers lived there until from 1789 to about 1800. These marriages come as a bit of surprise to me. Does anyone know what the abbreviations mean? Thanks, Denis Glover

Celia Thomas, who may be my ancestor is listed as the Aunt of Laura Watson on the 1880 Alexandria census. I have just found out that Laura and husband Charles are the namesakes of the Watson Reading Room. Which is a library of African American history in Alexandria. I am looking for any information about Celia Thomas or the Watsons. Thank you.
Hi. John Caproon's brother Elsworth was my great grandfather. I believe John was a barber and died in 1951; Margaret died in 1976; and Watie in 1934. They're all buried in Elwood Cemetery in Elwood, Indiana. I don't know anything about Margaret being taken away. I think I was told that Waite died suddenly from an unknown ailment. I saw their headstones when I was doing family research there in 1994 or '95. Email me and I'll try to hook you up with a cousin who lives in the area and might be able to give you more information.
Kevin
