I am English, born 1945. My father was a US paratrooper (82nd Airborne?). According to my birth mother (sadly now deceased) his name was John or Johnnie Alexis Jr and he was stationed near Nottingham England around December 1944. He met my mother (Jessie Atkinson) on a five day pass possibly mid-December 1944. When they parted after the five day pass, he never returned. According to my mother he was in his thirties.

If anyone has any information about it would be great - I have never managed to trace him.
