POLAND – A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Church in Poland, Ohio for Josephine Donatelli, 94, formerly of Struthers, Ohio who passed away on Saturday evening, Sept 24, 2011 at Woodlands Assisted Living.
Josephine was born on April 16, 1917, in West Virginia, a daughter of Philip and Catherine Alfano.
She came to this area (Mahoning County) as a child and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, Ohio the Mt. Carmel Club in Lowellville and the Struthers Senior Citizens Club. She was also an avid dancer.
Josephine married William J. Donatelli on Sept. 4, 1937, and he passed away on Jan. 18, 1982.
She leaves her two daughters, Diana M. (Bob) Lamphier and JoAnn Maine, both of Poland; one sister, Frances Carcelli of Boardman, Ohio; also two grandchildren, Lori (Todd) Trehan and Bobbi (Jeff) Wolford; and two great-grandchildren, William and Collin.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, William Alfano; and one sister, Rose Pitzulo.
Friends may call one hour before the services at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
The family would like to thank the staff of Woodlands Assisted Living for the care and compassion that was given to Josephine.
