I don't pretend to teach you, but I don't believe there are that many Jewish surnames per se. I had read the surname came from the town of Alfaro, La Rioja, Spain & originated in the 12th century; many families, including Sephardic Jewish ones, took on the ssurname & some immigrated to Italy, Portugal, France, the Philippines & the Americas in time.
