I could use some suggestions or help with this one.
How does one go about finding an Egyptian man that seems to avoid census'.
His name is Tayab Ibrahim Ali born about 1867 in Egypt. He left Egypt about 1880 for England. I have tried various name spellings and have not been able to find him in the U.K. census'.
In 1904 he wrote a letter home. Listed himself as Egypt Tayab Ali with a u.s. address. He is an engineer and is believed to help build the World's Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri.
1905 Passenger Arrival to New York says he was from Cardiff and going to a boarding house in New York.
There are no other records that I have been able to find on him.
He married Zena (surname unknown) and had two children Ibrahim and Amina. I have looked through ancestry.com.uk site for the births of the children and the marriage to Zena but cannot find anything.
