Pauline is my great grandfather's baby sister (Colbert Miles aka C M Laney (his daughter Hattie had my grandfather Jack) I have bits and pieces of info on the Laney's as well as some of the associated lines. Grandad grew up in Oklahoma.

Hi. I am also a great granddaughter of Pauline. I actually don't know too much about her, other than she is my mother's grandmother. I knew that she had Indian blood in her but that she refused to put her name on the rolls. I think she and J.C. as he was called, are both buried in Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, Oklahoma, where my grandmother Mittie Pauline is also buried. I seem to remember there being some upset about the name "Allbritton" and how it was spelled on the head stone, b/c I think a lot of people thought it was Albritton. I never met these folks, so I don't know. How are you related to this family?

Pauline Laney Allbritton was my grandfathers mother. I have information on her mother, Amanda Canterberry. I have bad copies of the marriage certificate of William Laney and Amanda as well as copies of a sister and brother of Amanda's. I can not find any information beyond that. I also have a very old pic of Amanda, Pauline, William in Indian Territory in Oklahoma. Amanda is buried in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Hi Leigh, Your Grandfather Alonzo was married to Elizabeth Hunt Allbritton. Her sister Mae Hunt Allbritton was married to the father of Klyde and Dick. He went by the nickname of Doc (he was a dentist as were both sons) I think his real name might have also been Klyde.

Elizabeth Hunt Allbritton had two brothers Paul Hunt and Roy Hunt. Paul was a career US Army person and Roy was a camera man in Hollywood, CA She also had 3 sisters, Helen Hunt, mother of Helen Hunt Roepke Grandmother of Katherine Roepke Flemming

Hi, I am so curious to talk with you. Perhaps we have known each other in the past. My maiden name was Marcia Allbritton, I am Leigh's aunt and Ed's sister. Our parents were Elilzabeth Pickens Allbritton and Gordon Hoyt Allbritton. We lived in Birmingham until WWII started and returned after the war was over.

I remember all the Oneonta Allbrittons well. Marietta was married to Bryce and Della was married to Gus as I remember.
Unfortunately I can't remember their marrried last names.

You could be a lot younger than but I would surely love to hear from you.

She too is my great grandmother. My niece is named for her, as they were born on the same date. I have just started searching for info, since I don't know anything about my family's past and don't currently speak to my mother, who is Pauline's grand daughter, and Mittie Pauline's daughter.

Your ggrandfather "Uncle Lon" was brother to my ggrandmother "Marietta". They had a brother "Uncle Ed" and sisters Alice and Del. One child, John, died at age 2. Their parents were William Augustus Allbritten b.20 May 1843 Cobb Co., GA d. 11 Aug 1917 Birmingham, AL (buried at Elmwood Cemetery) m. 6 Oct 1867 Gordon Co., Ga Martha Washington Gober 22 Nov 184 d. 19DEc 1906.

Allbritton-Bishop

There was an Amy Allbritton that lived in the household of Elisha J. Bishop and his wife Louissa Berry Bishop for many years and when they died he lived in the Household of Denson Denroe Bishop in Franklin, Robertson Co., Texas. We have not been able to make a connection but on another Ancestry board it show that Elisha J. Bishop was married to a Allbritton with the same children listed. I know without doubt that our gg-grandmother was Louissa Berry but perhaps Elisha J. was married twice. His oldest child John Leonard may have possible had a different Mother.

Amy Allbritton(male) was listed as Elisha J.'s nephew on census.

There is a board Posted on Family. Com for a Francis Allbritton. If anyone knows the person or persons that posted this information please let me know. There are some back errors on that post. I can help if someone will contact me. I am not a member of Family.com but I would like to help that person if they will contact me. They may also have prior information that will substantiate their information.

The information that I am truly interested in is the marriage of Elisha Bishop to Elizabeth Allbritton. He may have indeed married her and had one child by her but most of his family was the issue of Elisha and Louisa Berry Bishop.

I am loking for information on the family of John Allibritton he married Elizabeth(?)they were both born in MS around 1820. They had at least one son named Elam Allbritton b. March 7, 1849 in MS he married Almanza "Allie" Neely. He died March 3, 1937 in Newton County, Tx. They had at least one son Jesse Oah Allbritton born Sept, 24, 1893 married Ruth Kathleen Newton April 4, 1920 and died April 15,1968. Bureied in Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee, Tx. I couldn't wait, I pulled my file and I have on the 1860 Simpson County MS census I have John 44 and Elizabeth 36 Allbritton parents of Martha 18, Franklin 16, Jessie 14, William 12, Lafayette 10, Elam 8, George 6, Semantha 4, John F. 2, and a girl Patty Caty 17. It says John is a farmer with real Estate valued at 3,500, Personal estate 4,485. John was born in Georgia and Elizabeth and all the children were born in MS.

I have a birth date for Elan from his death certificate out of Jasper County Texas March 7, 1849 died 3-3-1937 at age 87 11 months and 26 days. Elam Allbritton and his wife Allie Neely are buried at the Newton City Cemetery. Please contact me I would love to swao info.
