Pardon the interruption. My great great great grandfather is Samuel "Sam" Allcorn of Washington County, TX. He was born in 1844 and I believe he was a slave of John Hodge Allcorn (born 1799, d 1853). I believe he is the black male, age 6, listed on the 1850 Slave Schedule for J. H. Allcorn. If you have any information regarding slaves (probate records or otherwise), please contact me at rgrandle@consolidated.net. Also, any information about the location of the John Hodge Allcorn plantation in Washington County might be helpful as well. Thank you for your attention to this correspondence.
