I am still trying to find my ancestors, am having no luck! My great grandmother (Maria) married Leonardo Botteri. They came over from Messina Palermo Italy in the late 1890's via Nova Scotia?, and took up residency in Boston. Anyone with info, please reply asap. Thanks

My great grandmother was Maria Allegra of Palermo. I never got to see or know her, she died just before I was born. I have been trying to trace our family roots for months and have had no luck. I have little info. All I know is that she may have came to the US around 1890, married a Leonardo Bottari. Any info you could share with me is greatly appreciated. Who knows we may be related!

My great grandmother (Maria Allegra) was from Palermo as well. I do not have much info about her but some. I, too am looking for my relatives but have not been too successful. It seems she may have been born about 1871, married about 1890 to ? Leonardo Bottari. She supposedly left Italy about 1890 for US. Let me know if this helps or you may have additional info you could help me with.

Grandmother was Giuseppina (Palermo) maiden name was Taverno, married first to....Allegra who died very young...does anyone know his name?
Giuseppina went on to marry Giuseppe Nasca.
