I am looking for the parents of Sarah A. Aller who married Archimedes Moose in Belmont Co., OH in 1848. Sarah's death certificate indicated her father being John Oler/Aller. Sarah was born in 1828 in Ohio. Could Sarah & Mary Elizabeth be related in someway...maybe sisters?

Hi, My father (Nikolaus Aller b. 1928 in Deta, Romania which was once part of the Austro-Hungarian empire) speaks of a John Aller - his grandfather who visited the United States twice during that time period. I have always heard that he had an uncle (great-uncle?) in Minneapolis who was married to Elizabeth. This part of the Aller family is currently in Cincinnati. Perhaps this is the relation you mention.

Hello. I know this post is old so I'm hoping that you will still get it. Recently I started searching my husband's nephew's family tree and came across a Pricilla Taylor-Aller. I was very interested in it for several reasons, the first being that my maiden name is Taylor. I'm not sure if there is connection with me but also my husband's best friend and the best man at our wedding's name is Aller and his family came from the Westmoreland Co., PA area. My Taylor's were in Washington Co. PA. This relationship with Pricilla is not a direct relationship with his nephew, Mark, but with the name Taylor, I'm very interested. Mark's great-great-uncle Chester Holmes was married to Priscilla's daughter Lillie A. Aller-Holmes. I found Priscilla listed in her obituary. Also very interesting, this week at my physical therapy office I met a man that is related to Taylors in PA and after talking he says he also has a Priscilla Taylor in his line. Could you share what you know about this Taylor family? This man says that her father, he wasn't sure off the top of his head a name, had something to do with using his wagons to remove bodys from the Gettysburg Battlefield. Had you ever heard of this?? Here is my e-mail: c28tl56@yahoo.com

I am searching for someone that might have known my grandmother in the 1940's. She was a dwarf and worked at one of the hotels in Magnetic Springs. She lived in Delaware, Ohio and her name was Florence Aller. We are trying to find out who my father's father was. The time frame that we are talking about would be Fall of 1944. We have heard the Conrad name mentioned as a possible father.

If anyone on this list is still interested in this line of Allers (descendants of Emanuel ALLER and Priscilla TAYLOR), ... Priscilla was my great-great-great aunt. She was the youngest child of Eleazer TAYLOR and Nancy ROGERS (or RODGERS). I am descended from Priscilla's older half-brother (by Eleazer's first wife, Jane ROBINSON), George Washington TAYLOR, and have recently discovered at least one distant cousin descended from Emanuel Priscilla and would like to get in contact with others. I have a fair amount of TAYLOR information to share with those interested.

Thank you so much for the info on James A. Aller. The mystery still goes on . In James's obit it is listed as him having a half brother William Mathias Hann. I wrote to Hazel M. Harr who was William's great greatdau. She told me that Wm. James and Sarah were children of of Wm. & Margaret Rogers who died between 1850 & 1860. All 3 children were taken in by other families. James's older children remember going to see Wm. M. Hann when they were young. If I can help you on anything please let me know and I'll see if i have it. Once again thank you for your reply

Hello Evelyn,

Sarah Aller is an ancestor of mine. I don't know at this point what her exact relationship is, but I know that she was part of the Aller family that lived in Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She was some sort of cousin of my Great Great Grandfather. It appears that they also were residents of Sussex in Sussex County, New Jersey before moving west to Bedford, Pa., Indiana and finally to Wisconsin. I will try to make time to dig out what info that I have on that family. I'm not sure that it will help you but you never know. If you have any info on how James and Sarah met, I would be interested because my name is James Moore Aller III. My father and Great Grandfather also had the name. I'm sure that we were named after Sarah's husband but my family doesn't have very much info about them or the events of their lives.

I will be in touch with more info soon.

Jim

If not, just scroll down to the end of the message page and enter John franklin Moore/James B. Moore. Scroll until you find them and you will see the names of the children and siblings of John, James.

If you click on to Cora May Moore (my grandmother) you'll get info.

Evelyn

I will get the names of the children and send them to you, I know we have a lot of family all over the place.

Hello,
I am descended from Conrad Oller through his daughter Hannah who married Michael Leatherman in Washington County, PA. Michael died during an epidemic and was buried with the "sick" people seperately from the healthy deaths! I have been to Washignton County to his grave and the other Leatherman grave sites. I would like to have any information you can provide on Conrad Oller, and his wife Anna Elizabeth Hensill (Hansell) who was descended from Michael Hansell and Catherine DeWalt. All were early settlers in Washington County. Do you know anything about these people? You can contact me directly at leonagf@aol.com if you'd like.
thanks,
Leona, Berkley, MI

I have discovered new information about Elliott Aller from the Saxton, Bedford Co. area of PA. His name is spelled Eliot.
Some called him Duffy; however, his name in the current records is Eliot E Aller son of Emanual T. Aller and Priscialla Taylor Aller. His siblings were Christopehr A. Aller b. 8/1873
John D. b 1/1877, Harry S b 7/1879, James M b 5/1883, Charlles F b. 11/1887, Nancy E. b 8/1889, Lily A. b 3/1895.

It seems that there is a least two Emanuel Aller in Fulton Co. PA. The Emanuel's brith year is 1849 and I believe that Emanuel T.'s is 1840; however, I cannot find a Emanuel T.Some think that Emanuel T.'s family came from western PA aroudn Coinsville to Saxton area; however, I can find no information.

Emanuel was a coal miner. It's reported that he was killed in the mines around Johnston, PA. His son Charles survived the coal mine accident and never when back.

I know that there are a lot of Allers in Connellsville, Pa. I called someone at random when my father died, and it ended up that we were cousins. I would love to email back and forth to see what others we come up with. I was born in 1956, but I remember Harry, Charles, and Lilly. I'm looking forward to hearing from you or anyone so that we can help each other.
