My name is Don Allie (I am a female) My father is Robert Allie, his father was Charles, his father was James Perry and his father was Jacob who was married to Melissa Shinkle. I have the family line to 1460, John Alley born in Buckingham England. In 1605 William Alley was born in Ofordshire England and he died in Salem Mass.

I am interested in finding out information on my grandfather's family. He had 8 brothers and 2 sisters born in Kentucky. Most of family moved to Iowa. Sisters were named Martha and Ida. Only brothers' names I know are Roy, Tone, and Fred also possibly Awl. His name was Claude.

Alley or Allie family in Lincoln County, Maine - 1800's

I am trying to find information on the family of George Robinson & Inez Alley/Allie from Lincoln County, Maine. They had a son George LeForest Robinson, born 1890 in Dresden. According to son George's marriage record, the father George was a Sea Captain, born in Dresden and deceased before 1915. Inez Alley/Allie was born in Newcastle in about 1862.

Origins of Pierre Allie in France?

It is sometime since I last reviewed my Allie genealogy so I checked the Fichier origine to see if anyone had yet located the baptism record of Pierre Allie in Granville, Normandie. I see that this discovery has not yet been posted.

I am wondering if any else has every tried to find Pierre Allie’s baptism record in Granville? I note that the Mormons have microfilmed some church registers in Granville that would cover his supposed birth year of 1729. Did anyone search these? Did you just not find an entry for him?

If they have not been searched, then I will put this on my list of things to do next time I visit Salt Lake City in a year or so.

Just curious.

I was also told I had family in italy named Allie. Allie is from my grandfather on my mom's side. I took my mother's last name. My grandfather was also Albert Allie as well.

Do you know anything of the Quillens that married into the Alley family? Wade Quillen supposedly married an Allie girl. Someone sent to me an old photograph of a family who I'm trying to identify. The photo was in a trunk along with some writings from Wade Quillen Jr. The only clue is where someone wrote Catlettsburg Ky. on the picture frame. I'm thinking it may be the family of Wade Quillen but can't be sure. If interested I can send the picture to you.

I am from the UK and I am also researching the ALLIES/ALLIE/ALLYE/ALYE surname. My main interest is the ALLIES surname from Worcestershire, England. Have any of you managed to trace your roots back to this part of the UK.

Thank you so mch for the Alye name from Dorset. The Alye/ Allies family came to this country just after 1066 with King Billand settled in Worcestershire. A branch of the family did move down to Dorset, but as yet I have to get more info to find out exactly when.

Rene Allie & Claire Bernier was married in April 26, 1952 in Saco,ME. Rene was born June 15, 1932 in Biddeford, ME.
He was the last son of Albert Allie & Marie-Anne Morin. Albert married Marie-Anne Morin in Feb. 19, 1912 in St-Felix-de-Kingsey, in Quebec. If you want to know more...

I had a grandfather from around Cattlesburg KY, who's name was Claude Allie. I believe that he also had a nephew born in that area with the same name. He had said his original spelling was Alley but was changed due to a family feud.

Thanks for trying. But I don't think this is the same set of Allies'. Grandpa John Mitchell Allie was married first to Victoria Einfelt. They had 8 to 10 children. Clarence, Jack, Ray & Bob(twins), Herbert(my brother-in-law), Martha, Gerald & a twin, & Eva. They lived in Kankakee. Grandpa Joh married Marie(don't know her last name). They didn't have children together. There is lots more after that. Thanks again!!! mary

My husband's line has a distant relative, who I believe is the Jacob Allie, above.
Jacob Allie,born3/16/1822in VA, died 12/25/1902 in KY. He married Melissa Shinkle on 7/10/1846. She was born 1825 in OH and died 1891 in KY. They had a son Oliver D. Alley, b. 6/17/1863; d. abt. 1930. Oliver married Mabel Wiley. She died in 1997. They had Daris, Everett, Marcelyn (b.11/2/1944), Claude W.(b. 7/10/1949,m.Michele Stark 7/13/1974, Clinton, Bert and Kermit.

Sorry I forget to tell you that you will find JOSEPH on the patronyme spelled like "ALLIE" and your Heloise like "ELOISE ROY". Be carefull in my site I've not put a commun name on the partronyme ALY-ALLY-ALI-ALIE-ALLIE-... I've kept the name that I've found in the marriage register.
