I am looking for any leads on a Charlotte Allor who married Jacob McKinstry. Charlotte was born about 1842 in New York. They lived around Macomb County,MI in the later 1800's.

Allor/Allard Family History Info Needed

My name is Lindsay Allor (Babian - recently married). My father's name is Patrick Michael (age 51). He is the youngest of 5 boys (Tom (age ~65), Chuck, Neil & Dan). Their parents were Hugo Allor (1911-1991) & Elizebeth (1919-1993) (Bingo Betty). Hugo's parents, Joseph & Mary (Whitmore) were know to their grandchildren as Mimi & Pipi. Rumor has it that Joseph & Mary had 11 children. I don't know all of their childrens' names or their story but some of them include Dean, Frieda, Irene, Frank, "Whitey", Clifford + a few more. My father can remember when Joseph was presented an award from the city of St. Clair Shores for being the first French setteler in the city (French Canadian). Also - rumors of the link between Allor's to Allard's are always circulating that the "stuffy" Allors changed their name to Allard to sound more affluent. Also their are many questions regarding the origins of the streets name Allor & Allard in St. Clair Shores are also floating around. As the last of the wives of the 11 children are fading away - I want to tap them as historical resources before their knowledge is unavailable. If anyone else has information they can share - I would be so happy to share what info I have in exchange.

Joseph Alard in Bay City, Michigan

Does anyone have any information about Joseph Alard/Alore/Allor [name shows up spelled differently on the marriage info, 1870 census and 1880 census] (b: 1834 - 1838 in Canada, d: circa 1898 in Bay City, Michigan). I know he married Mary Ann Desnoyers - Lyon on 10 Apr 1863 in Bay City, Michigan. I have a list of his decendents as Oliver (b: Jul 1864), Elsie (b: 1865), Amelia (b: Oct 1866), Clarrisa (b: 1869), Belle (b: 1871), Joseph Edward (b: 1874) and Louise (b: 1877) all born in Bay City, Michigan. Oliver changed the surname to Elore circa 1894. I have not been able to find any information on Joseph's parents. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Father, Leon L.Allor(76), orginally from Detroit MI... Mother, Gladys (Wing) Allor deceased 1995, orginally from Rogers City, Michigan.

Brother, David L. Allor(53), Lake Havasu City, AZ and Sister Pamela A. Allor(52)Ocean Beach, CA. All of us were born in Detroit MI.

Father relocated us to California in 1952, Glendora, CA a surburb of LA.

I found a partial Allor Family Tree in my uncle's attic in Ferndale, Michigan. I am trying to sort all of the information out. I am not sure if all the info that I have is accurate or not. There is a lot of it.

My grandfather was William J. Allor, Sr. He was born in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI on 9-05-1919. His father was Douglas Thomas Allor and his mother was Vallee Margaret Grifford.

William had 7 brothers and sisters.

Douglas' parents were Jacob Allor and Maria Payette or Mary Piette. I am unsure of which. I have both names.

I am looking for any info that I can get and I have alot if anyone is interested. Thank You for taking the time to read this.

I am looking for ANY information on my grandmother, Dolores (Byrdia) Allor, daughter of Julius Allor. Julius had 5 children that I know of: Byrdia (Dolores) by his first wife, Ermina Wilbert (lived in Grand Traverse); and 4 by his second wife, Phyllis Moore (Lived in Detroit): Gladys Annie ("Bob"), Julius Jr., Orphia and Arthur. Dolores (Byrdia) was married twice that I know of: first to Leon Lawson (3 children: Leon Jr. (estranged from my grandmother), Everett (married twice, second wife Marian) and Charlotte (died age 2). Second, to George Ellingsworth from New York (2 children: George Jr, died 17; and Maraquita Jeanne (my mother). I have nearly no information on Dolores from her birth until her daughter, Maraquita, married my father, Marion Kujawski in 1951 - and the little bit information I have on Dolores is all pretty vague (and mostly sad). My mother didn't like to talk and everyone else in the family is gone except for a wonderful lady, Marian Lawson, who is only related to me by marriage.

Hi, My father is Douglas Robert Allor, his father is Robert and his mother is Gennie (Jeannie?). My father is one of 9 children... I don't know my father well, didn't grow up with him and have little contact. But would very much like to get some family history for my two little children and myself. I am very interested in health issues that could possibly run in the family - what most of my Aunts and Uncles do (are they still around - how long does the family live, etc..). I know this is a lot of questions at once.. but any info would be great.

James/Jacques Alard and his wife, Mary G. LaForest, were the ancestors of all Alards who came to Detroit in the mid 1700's that were of French Canadian descent. The name was corrupted into Allor in the 19th century. I have many Allors in my data base. I would very much like to share data with you.

Looking for info on my husband's great-grandparents. Liza Allor m. Augustus Brancheau, dates unknown but before 1885. Probably lived somewhere around Gladstone, MI. Their daughter Agnes Mary b. 22 January 1885, m. John Ernest Cassell. John was in the lumber business in Bay City, MI. A point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Elwood Allor had several other children that do not carry his last name. Their last name is Harvell. Please let me know if anyone has any information.

HI. I have some info although sketchy.I know
only that my great-grandfather was a French-Canadian who was a porter on a train that ran
from Canada to NYS. He took on the last name
of Porter as it made it easier for the passengers.He also married a woman of French-Indian decent. The best I can guess is he
probably lived around the turn of the century, late 1800-early 1900's.I know he had
at least one son, my grandfather. Mom said he
was a lineman installing some of NYS first
telephone lines.He passed away in his late 70's at about 1953 or 54.
Grandpa and Grandma had several children- Gene,Frank,Ruth,Winnie,Mary,Gladys(mother).
I'm not sure I ever knew the names of either
great-grandfather, or grandpa as even he passed when I was only about 2.
If anyone else has any other tidbits
it would be great. Thanks for hearing another side.

My father was Russell Allor of Colo. Springs...he was born in Detroit married Evelyn Cox.
His Father (Russell Allor) was the driver for Spencer Penrose of the Broadmoor hotel fame...His mother name was Maple Spencer.
His four sisters now live in Florida (part time) and Ohio. My father had four boys Don of CA. Charles ...(family name) James and Robert all of Colo. Springs.
I myself was adopted but thats another story...LOL

Looking for more information on Stanley Daniel Allor. Was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and died in Florida in July 1978. First wife was Bessie Jane Houghland had one child, a son, Kenneth Benton in 1932. Were divorced in 1934. Stanley remarried, second wife unknown, no other children. Stanley was/is my grandfather.
