I am the great grandson of John Pilot Allred(Jack), Solomon's half brother. I live in Arizona where my Dad still lives. His name is Elmer Gene Allred. One of three children of John. John had 12 wifes and only had children from one. Royce, Yolanda, and Elmer. I am one of 3 children of Elmer. Derri, Marc and Roice. I have three kids and the last two boys in our family tree. Bryan, Michael, and Kelly my daughter. Let me know if this helps, my Dad doesn't talk much about his family but I sure I can get more details.

Marc

Nancy Susan Miles who married into Allred and Roster Family, Mormons from Utah

Hello, I descend from the Miles line. Nancy Susan Miles is an ancestor. I found this week a letter online from the Roster family history that was written by Nancy Susan Miles before she died in 1960. She tells about her Miles family from Mt. Crogan, Chesterfield Co, SC. She talks about how she came to be a Mormon. I would like if anyone could contact me on this. She was the daughter of John Westly Miles, son of William Manning Miles. The person that posted was Sharon Allred Jessop. If anyone knows about this letter, please contact me. It was online if you googled it. Julie Miles Helms

Shannon, you are welcome. I was hoping Elizabeth was one of mine but my ancestors were gone from Overton Co, TN by the time your Wm and Mary Allred left. Since Mary listed both parents as German you might find her maiden name and the Indian might be on the Allred side. It is not to say that either of her parents could have been part Indian and German. Sometimes it identifies more the language they spoke.

Good luck,
Jim Allred

There is a death record for Bessie Alice Creamer listed on the Mo death record site. it does list her parents as Unknown. She was born Oct 8, 1886 St Louis Mo. and died June 24, 1924 in St Johns Hospital it gives the same address as below, on the 1920 census, Frank signed her death record. His name in case you don't have it was Frank Micheal Creamer, he was born apr. 12 1880 and died Jan 7 1946 in St. Louis MO.

Found one for William Allred a Walter Allred signed his death record. It says he died in 1910, June 12th but it says he was 70 years old. So thats puts his birth around 1840 so its just a few years off.
It states that his father was William Allred birth place unknown and mother was Mary looks like it could House or Haws birth place also unknown.
It also looks like William might have been married before since he and Mary were only married 17 years in 1900.
There is one there in 1880 that is Married to a Julie could be the same one or not.

My ggrandmother was born of German parents also, also an Allred and she had the same dark complexion that made her look like she had Indian Heritage in her.

Hope this might help some, My Allreds also came from NC and settled in Indiana,

Sue

I think you're right, and this is her--the birthdates for the children listed match what we have on my grandpa and his siblings. We did hear that she called herself Bessie, but we thought Elizabeth would likely get more hits, as it was her 'proper' name.

I do wonder why she's listed as white. We've two pictures of her, she's clearly not.
