Possible ALSOBROOK DNA Project

Hello all, I am trying to find out if there is any interest between the male descendants of the surname ALSOBROOK (of all spellings) in participating in a DNA project to find close common ancestry. I am descended from George M ALSOBROOK born 1824 in TN and died in 1900 in TX. There are no male descendants of this George.

I know there are alot of people out there that are apprehensive to participate in DNA project, but I want you to know that the testing is painless, done in your home, and the test results are held in the strictest of confidence.

Testing of the Y-Chromosome can only be done of direct male descendants of ALSOBROOKs. Women can get a brother, uncle, father, or friend as participants, but the women can be the direct contact person for testing results. The names of the participants are kept secret and only passed on to others if the participant wants to discuss the test or their research out side of the group.

If you have ever thought about doing the testing, please contact me off board and I will fill you in more. Give you links that you can visit to find out more on the projects.

If I can get enough interest in the project, I will act as administrator of the project or co-administartor if someone else wants to work on it. I am the administrator of another project and we are starting to have some success stories come out of our results.

Look forward to hearing from some of you real soon. My email address is jlowery000@aol.com. Good luck and good hunting in your researches.

LOUISE, HAVE I TALKED TO YOU. MANDY ROLAND ALLSBROOKS WAS JAMES LEONARD ALLSBROOKS WIFE. THEY WERE LISTED IN IN CALCASIEU PARISH BUT I DID NOT MAKE OUT LEWIS IN THE ORIGINAL CENSUS, INTERESTED ENOUGH, THAT IS HOW I FOUND THEM. BOTH THE GLASS FAMILY AND BROOKS FAMILY WERE IN THE SAME AREA AND IF THE CENSUS TAKER NOT HAD THE HABIT OF PUTTING THE WIFE'S MAIDEN NAME, I WOULD HAVE MISSED IT ENTIRELY. SINCE I HAD JUST DISCOVERED THAT MANDY'S LAST NAME WAS ROLAND AND NOT SOMETHING ELSE, THAT NAME JUMPED OUT AT ME. MANDY DIED AFTER MY MOTHER WAS BORN AND I HAVE THAT DATE IN MY RECORDS. I WILL CHECK AND GET BACK TO THIS.

E-MAIL ME
THANKS
ADIENE
