Hi, this is Joseph's sister, Heather.

Wow, the last month has been amazing. We found Danny via myspace and everything has snow-balled from there. I don't know where to start...

First of all, I must do what I promised, and tell Joseph and Danny how much Dad loved both of you. He thought of you always and please know that his greatest wish was for all of his children to be together. He wanted to be with his sons. He was a proud man. And very proud of both of you. He would always say "find your brothers." It's a shame that this couldn't happen while he was alive to see it.

Although I am thrilled to have found you both, I am saddened. I miss my Dad. As I sure that you have missed him all your lives. Dad passed away in 1997... you would think that things would get easier. Feelings would dull. But they don't. I feel cheated. Of a longer life with my Dad, of getting to know and living life with my brothers. In a way, finding both of you has dredged up something that I had politely buried within myself. But the pain is good. I found you. I found you both for Dad. It's what he wanted and I did it. :,)

Well, it's part of what he wanted. He wanted us to find you. For all of us to be together again. And for us to tell you that he, Ahimuto Masuda Almazan was your father, and that he always loved you both. You were his handsome sons. He had a picture of you three together on some sort of beach or pier. He had a funny flappy-looking blue hat on and no shirt (traditional Dad-style). You both were there. He looked so happy. He carried that picture always.

-JOSEPH-
Joseph, I know that this is hard for you and I'm not sure what it will take for you to come to terms with your life, but I'm just here to tell you the facts. You are my brother, my father's child. No matter if you want to be, or if you feel negative emotions about any of this- gotta admit, it is crazy... You're an Almazan. We're family. And one day, I honestly believe that you will feel how much Dad loves you. His dying wish was for us to find you. Now that we have, don't you feel him around you? I know that I do.

Want proof?

Today I spoke with Danny. He told me that your wife had searched and found my post online. It's been so long, I had almost forgotten about this... when I went to search for it to see if you had responded... I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GATI4PfXrn4

Click on the link and watch. Something I never knew existed ... one of his students uploaded video of a sparring match that dad was refereeing at his dojo. There are two videos by the same guy, so watch them both.

I found it while at work and just cried and cried. It's like Dad showing me that I've done what he's asked. That it's good, and that he's happy.

I've asked Eastwood for any home videos that he might have. I'm going to convert them to DVD and I'd like to send both you and Danny copies.

To both of you: Welcome to the family. We sure as hell missed ya'll.

Love,

Your Family,
Connie, Artie, Eastwood, Heather, Krista...
and Dad.

Give me a call or shoot me an email sometime.
409-330-1011 or hcote@panews.com
Heather,
In 1997 I was looking for my husbands father named Ahimuto Musada Almazan. I paid for an online investigator to search for him which nothing came up. I did receive an address for an address in Orange TX a few months later. I wrote a letter and it came back returned. My husband Joseph saw it and thought his Father returned it and wanted nothing to do with him.
Today, I read this and just wept because we had NO IDEA that he too was looking for his sons. My husband is pretty upset that he is finding out that his Dad did love him. For some reason he always felt rejected.

Please help me connect this family as this is much needed for Joseph.

Thanks for the reply though, I hope you find your family members.
For anyone else that can help me...the name of Joseph and Danny's mother is Rosa. She and my dad married in San Antonio, I think and she is now supposed to be in California. I've got a picture of them with my dad. If you think that you can help, I will email you the pic.
Lost brothers...

I am looking for two young males, probably in their mid to late twenties. My father was married to a woman before he married my mother. He had two sons, but their mother moved away and didn't keep any contact. It was always very important to my father to find them, but he never did. He died January 20th, 1998 of liver cancer at the age of 55. His last wish was for us to find our brothers. I don't even know where to begin. I think their names are Danny and Joesph, but I can't be sure. My father hasn't left behind any files or paper to help us, so we're kind of going at it blind. He also once told us that he thinks their mother moved to California. We're from Texas. If you know anywone that could help me, I'd be ultra-appreciative.
Thankyou, Heather Almazan-Cote
