Who is the Anna (---) Almy who md. Joseph Davenport on 14 August 1811? She was born 15 June 1770; died 10 Dec. 1842, is buried with husband Joseph Davenport, in Grove Cemetery, Trumansburg, Tompkins, NY . She married Joseph Davenport as his second wife on 14 August 1811 and they had one son: David, born 14 March 1815.

On the 1810 census for Ovid, Seneca Co., NY, Joseph Davenport and Anna appear; Joseph has a wife; Anna is a widow with 5 children. Which Almy was she married to?

Information about this Almy/Davenport marriage came to me after posting queries/information I had at the time about my known Almy/Davenpor marriage. My interest in any/all Almy/Davenport marriages is because after the death of my ancestor John Almy who md. Sarah (Kirby), Sarah married a “Mr Davenport” whose first name I have never found but which was mentioned on a deed for my own Bradford Almy, son of John Almy and Sarah (Kirby) (Almy) Davenport.

"....I Bradford Almy of Sacketts Harbour in the County of Jefferson, in the State of New York..... paid my Wm D. Cornell of the Town of Marcellus, County of Onondaga..... sold and quit claimed..... all my right and title....all that certain farm or piece or parcel of land ...in the Town of Ovid, County of Seneca, state aforesaid, being a certain piece of land which Samuel Almy by his last will and testament devised to John Almy....which fell by decent from the said John Almy to the said Bradford his Father and now occupied by a Mr. Devenport who married the widow of the said John Almy deceased....." set my hand and seal this tenth day of February A.D. 1818.....

No matter how often I have tried over the years to solve this mystery, it remains unsolved. I just keep going around in circles. I also do not know where or when Sarah Kirby Almy Davenport died; did Sarah and “Mr. Davenport” move off the land when it was sold? Can anyone help solve these mysteries?
