Thank you so much for your information!! I was researching my grandmother, Ysabel Lauterio Escalante, daughter of Manuel Siqueiros Escalante and found his sister instead. I have been trying to complete Ysabel Escalante Aloy's family tree and you have been such a great help. I have some information on the Escalante side of the family which is your side also. I have some information regarding my small branch of the Aloy-Escalante tree.

Manuel Escalante Aloy (b 1895 d 8.26.1959). He married Maria Moreno Moreno, aka Mary Moreno, Maria Moreno Aloy, Mary Aloy, Mary Moreno Aloy (b 1899 d 11.9.1969) and they had one son named Frank Moreno Aloy (b. 8.20.1920 Tucson, AZ - d. 6.24.1990 Phoenix, AZ).

Frank Moreno Aloy married Helen Lillian Lugo Sierras (b. 6.11.1926) (US English name convention, Spanish convention is Sierras Lugo) a descendant of the California Spanish Landgrant pioneer family of Don Antonio Maria Lugo. Frank and Helen had 3 children (Darlyn Marie Aloy, b. 1.19.1948 Phoenix, AZ, d. 3.24.1998 Phoenix, AZ; Barbara Linda Aloy, b. 12.27.1949 Phoenix, AZ; and Frank Marc Aloy, b. 4.5.1955 Phoenix, AZ.

All 4 decedents noted above are interred at St. Francis Cemetary in Phoenix, AZ.

I found many of the family records had been 'misfiled' under the last name of Escalanate rather than Aloy, due to the erroneous conversion from the Spanish naming convention of [paternal + maternal] to the US English convention of [maternal (if used) + paternal].

Aloy Escalante

Manuel Aloy (b. 1858) was married to Ysabel Siqueiros Escalante (b. 11/19/1879 d. 8/28/1932) and they had 8 children. Petra, Felix, Manuel,Ysabel, Eleno, Ramona,Francisca and Maria all born in Arizona. Manuel Sr. came from Hong Kong and Ysabel was from Ures, Sonora, Mexico. The family resided in Tucson,Arizona.

Petra Aloy (b. 1892) Felix Aloy (b. 11/1/1893)Ysabel(b.1897) Ramona (b. 8/23/1901 d. 3/30/1916) Francisca (b. 1905) Maria Aloy (1909)

Manuel (b. abt. 1896) married someone name Maria. They had a son named Francisco Aloy (b. abt. 1921).

Eleno Aloy (b.1/18/1899 d. 5/1975)married Justa Samora and they had 3 children: Ernest, Adelia and Estanislao Jose and an adopted daughter Lydia. Eleno had a son Jose by a previous relationship.

Ysabel Siquieros Escalante was my grandmother's aunt. Her parents were Ramon Escalante and Petra Siqueiros. I am trying to locate her decendents. Please e-mail me at pinacolada_lg@hotmail.com if anyone has any information.
