My cousins, John Alpin & Mary Stanly had a daughter Esther in 1828 in Wicklow. John & Mary were Married in Kilquade RC Church, Wicklow Ireland
They also had a son Denis Alpin, who also had a daughter Esther born in Dublin in 1864.
I have also seen the name Esther passed down with later Alpins

My dad's mother, (my grandmother), was Frances Esther Alpin. She was the daughter of Michael Alpin and Katherine Gavin. I'm not sure of the names of my grandmother's siblings. I'll ask my cousin who knows all about this side of the family. I'll be seeing her soon. I'll let you know.

Amy Alpin was looking for a Michael Alpin B1857, who married a Gavin. May have been my Michael Alpin, B1860 in Wicklow Ireland. She did not respond to my reply.
The Alpin name is not common, what info can you share

I am searching for Bertha Theresa Alpin or Aplin who was born in Dover, Ohio around 1868. She died around 1909 in childbirth in the area of Gas City, Indiana. She married Frank Wesling. THe family had lived in both Illinois and Indiana. Email me at cur196@aol.com with any leads.

Looking for information on Rebecca Jane Alpin, also spelled Applein, who was born Dec. 4, 1842 in Arkansas and died on July 9, 1914 in Trickham, Texas. She is buried in the Trickham Cemetery. She married Andrew Jefferson Haney.

May have talked to you quite a ways back.
Found my Alpins in Co. Wicklow. At baptism the priest recorded 6 children Halpin & 2 Alpin. A cousin to my GGGrandfather (John Alpin)was Another John Alpin who married an Ann Wolohan circa 1850's in Kilquade Parish, Wicklow.They had a son Michael, bap. 7/17/ 1860 same parish. He was baptised as Halpin.

Michael's Grandparents were John Alpin & Mary Stanly married same Parish cira 1820's & are buried as Alpin. Gets a little confusing.

Michael Alpin

Looking for any info (especially parents)about Michael Alpin, Born in Aug 1857, in Ireland. His wife was Katherine Gavin, born Feb 1854, also in Ireland. They came to USA, but I don't know when. There was also a possible name change when they reached America, probably from McAlpin or MacAlpin. They settled in Michigan and had at least one son, James Austin Alpin in 1881.
