Rachel's husband was Preston Fitzgerald, who was born in Pa about 1815 if the 1850 Farmington, Clarion, Pa census is correct. He must have died sometime in the 1850's as Rachel is found back with her parents in the 1860 census and in the 1870 census.

Rachel and Preston's children were:

Harvey J. Fitzgerald (born about 1847)
Viola L. (born abt 1848 and mistakenly entered as Phebe L. in the 1850 census, but correctly entered as Viola in the 1860 census.
Mathias G. (born abt 1850)
Hannah D. (born about 1852)

In the 1860 census, Rachel is with her parents and has only son Harvey with her. The girls (Viola, age 12, and Hannah, age 8 are staying with friends and/or relatives). By 1870 sons Harvey and Mathias and daughter Hannah are back with their mother Rachel.

I am Ethel B. Fitzgerald Stark. My father is Robert Archie Fitzgerald , son of Archie, grandson of Ernest, gr. grandson of Daniel and gr gr grandson of John brother of Preston. I am thrilled to met you. do you have information on all of Preston, John, James, and other Fitzgeralds??????? You are welcome to what I have. Mabel Viola is listed on my tree as dieing as a infant in 1913???????? I also have a Violet but she died also at the age of 5. Let me know what's happening.

Viola's Family moved to Meriatta, Ga. Last name maybe Swallie had two sons, one went to Alabama, the other moved and married living in Rhode Island, I think Edward was his name.

Rachel Alsbaugh b.May 5 ,1824 d/o George and Elizabeth Kauffman of Union then Clarion Co.,Pa.Settled at Scotch Hill.I'm searching for the name of Rachel's husband. She married a Fitzgerald. My ggrandmother is Viola L. Fitzgerald and I beleive Rachel is her mother.Any help is appreciated.

Looking for information on my paternal grandmother;
Evaline Edith Alsbaugh; she was born in 1886 somewhere in NY state;
since my father had a cousin Carl Berg who lived in the Jamestown NY vicinity;
I am assuming that may be the area she was from. My dad, was born in Kane PA which is
not that far away. He was James Preston Moore; birth certificate says Preston James; he always
went by the reverse; including all his offical records.
His father was Preston Howard Moore; born in Jamestown PA in 1879
Any help would be appreciated.
